A Ride for Baby Granton

Granton Bayless is a six month old little boy from Bolivar, Missouri. In March of 2008, Granton was diagnosed with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID.) SCID is a rare genetic disorder in which the immune system fails to develop. Granton is the light of his parents' life and has become the focus of prayer for a countless number of friends, family, and others. The financial strain on Granton's Mom and Dad has already been great and has only been overshadowed by the emotional strain they have felt over these last few weeks. On June 16th, 2008, I will set off on a five day, 330 mile solo bicycle ride to raise money for Granton's family. Your pledges will allow us all to attempt to help alleviate some of this financial strain. This Blog will let you know how you can contribute, as well as keeping you updated on the progress leading up to and during the ride.

Thank you for your support and Prayers,
Jayme Green

A Message from Tobe...(Day Three)

Hey everyone, this is Toby. Jamye wanted me to add the blog today. We have just arrived in Pittsburg and what a day it was. Today was suppose to be a shorter day than yesterday but it ended up being longer than expected. When we finished the day Jayme had put in a 100.1 mile day and made it in less time than yesterday (6 hours, 25 minutes.) So we are going to go to the hotel and crash for the night maybe grab a bite. In the morning we will set out for a 70 mile day and end up at Stockton Lake to do a little bit of camping. We miss everyone and look forward to seeing everyone at the end of the week. Until next time...

Hi Tobe,

Your Dad and Mom here. Thanks for the post! Hope you and Jayme are getting the rest you need. We miss you up here. Things are quiet
and work is good. We are planning on leaving after lunch to in order to get to Stockton about the same time as you. Patchy is growling someone now. He is good. Had a stray dog incident that I'll tell you about when we get there.

Mom says Hi.

Later and love you,

d&m

Hello from the Green home! I am holding down the fort in Topeka awaiting your arrival. Just wanted to let people know that Jayme and Granton will be featured on KLOVE, a Christian Radio Station, throughout the day on Friday! You will be able to listen to it on the local KLOVE radio station or via their webpage at klove.com. If you have never tuned into KLOVE, I highly recommend it not only because Jayme and Granton will be mentioned, but because of the AWESOME messages and music! I am proud of you both! I love you both! Good luck tomorrow! I miss you!
Love,
Meg
